We work with charities and community groups to deliver life-changing courses in healthy, low-cost cooking, preserving, baking and food growing.

Our Programme

We deliver fun, supportive sessions in our Stoke Newington eco-kitchen and travel off-site to community centres and other venues as required.

From time to time we have funding available to deliver free to heavily subsidised courses to groups-in need and when appropriate we partner with groups on joint funding bids to cover cost of delivery.

Testimonials From Previous Charities and Community Groups

"The Made In Hackney cooking sessions were fun, engaging and whilst delivering important practical lessons, gave our young carers a place to come and be themselves. Being able to offer our young carers a space to learn how to cook healthy meals on a small budget is amazingly helpful to them and their families."

Gavin Davies, Service Coordinator, Action For Children

"The course has blown me away. We’ve cooked so much and I’ve learnt so much about new fruits and vegetables. I used to think organic was expensive but the workshops have shown me how it can be accessible. The girls have had a great time, they’re really proud of all the food they cooked - they talk about the sessions all week afterwards."

Ifraah-Khairah Samatar, Youth Worker at North London Muslim Cultural Centre

"We had an AMAZING session! Thank you so so much! Of our current group of five participants only two have minimal cooking experience and your teacher pitched the session just right. The group absolutely loved it and the food was incredible. And they loved the facilitators which is always amazing. Rapport was firmly and happily built. Thanks again."
