COMMUNITY COOKERY SCHOOL

“It feels like a hub for health, sustainability and social connections.”

Sandy

Our community cookery school is the heartbeat of Made In Hackney operating from our HQ and in community settings across London.

In these free to attend classes and courses we inspire and upskill communities to grow, cook and eat more plants.

We run a range of classes and courses open to the general public and also closed sessions (that you won’t find on our calendar) tailored to meet the needs of specific community groups.

Our classes are a joyful, supportive, inclusive experience open to all levels of cooks who want to learn new skills and recipes, eat delicious plant-based food and connect with their community.

Although everyone is welcome to attend our programmes, we especially support carers, families, low income households, LGBTQIA+ groups, students, pensioners, young people in care, asylum seekers, people in shelters, recovering addicts, people with physical and mental health challenges, and people from marginalised cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds.
