Ekowa Paul

Ekowa was raised on a vegetarian diet in a Rastafarian family, where he regularly cooked for his family. Influenced by the eclectic cuisine of Trinidad and Tobago, he has been a vegan for the last five years, experimenting with ingredients to create energizing, nutritious dishes. As a father of two, he enjoys making meals that are both enjoyable and nourishing for his children. On his journey to becoming a yoga instructor, Ekowa discovered the benefits of combining yoga and food. Viewing his kitchen as a lab, he uses natural seasonings and minerals to enhance the natural taste and nutritional value of his dishes. His passion for vegan food, yoga, and wellbeing led him to co-found Peng Patties, a youth cooking initiative, and collaborate with Made in Hackney as a community cookery teacher and community meal service chef.
