Steve has been passionate about food since discovering an invisible recipe book at age five. He has worked as a chef in France, Greece, Spain and England, and studied the Sociology of Food at Bristol University. Steve launched several food start-ups, including Dalston’s, known for its natural soft drinks, The People’s Kitchen, a community food surplus kitchen, and the Russet, a community café and events space. He is now based in Barcelona, and is building a new enterprise, Mediterranean Food Journeys, taking people on food tours combined with cookery classes teaching Mediterranean cookery. Before his relocation Steve was a much loved community cookery class teacher at Made In Hackney.
