James is a qualified accountant with over 13 years’ experience at KPMG, where he advises companies on equity capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs) and mergers and acquisitions involving listed businesses. His work focuses on financial due diligence and supporting organisations through these complex corporate events. Two years ago, James transitioned to freelance work, allowing him to rebalance his professional life and pursue a long-standing passion for food by becoming a professional baker and volunteering with Made In Hackney. This combination of financial expertise and hands-on food experience has deepened his interest in sustainability, community wellbeing, and improving access to healthy food. James is excited to join Made In Hackney as a trustee, bringing his financial expertise and practical experience to support the charity’s mission.
