Corn Tortillas

Quick and simple to make. They are a great accompaniment to many Mexican dishes and can also be deep fried to make tortilla chips!

Ingredients

Instructions

    1. Put the masa harina, salt (if using) and water in a bowl and knead well until you get a soft dough

      ,

      Divide into 10 equal pieces and roll into balls

      ,

      Place each ball in a plastic bag and place in the tortilla press or press down using a heavy pan

      ,

      Carefully peel back the plastic

      ,

      Cook in a non, stick dry pan over a medium heat for 1 minute or so, flipping over during cooking time until cooked

      , Keep warm in a clean tea towel
