Jamu Kunyit Tonic

1. Blend the turmeric, ginger and tamarind with the water either in a food, processor or with a stick blender. Alternatively, pound everything to a paste and let it infuse for 30 minutes.
2. Strain though muslin into a sterilised jar. Sweeten to taste with honey, maple syrup or coconut palm sugar and stir in a pinch of pepper. Drink straight away or chill. It will keep in the fridge for up to 1 week.
