Svenja is a keen foodie who brings nearly ten years’ experience delivering programmes, partnerships and operations across the food, sustainability and community sectors. She has led initiatives that use food as a powerful tool for community connection, skills development and social impact. Passionate about food justice, sustainability and tackling health inequalities, she feels very aligned with Made in Hackney’s values and mission.
Similar to Made In Hackney, over lockdown she cooked over 300 meals in her own kitchen as part of an emergency response to those experiencing food poverty during the pandemic. She brings her skills into the team to build strong partnerships, effective systems and supportive teams that enable programmes to thrive and have the maximum impact for our community.
