With an academic background in journalism and sociology, as well as professional experience in bookselling and volunteer coordination in the charity sector, Jingyi combines a love for storytelling with a drive to make resources accessible to all. Volunteering for a local food bank and witnessing firsthand the impact of food insecurity has fueled their advocacy for food justice and its role in building resilient communities. In their spare time, Jingyi assists the luncheon club at the East and Southeast Asian Community Centre and organises political education events with ESEA Sisters. Jingyi also finds joy in creativity, from printmaking and watercolour painting to knitting, always eager to explore new ways to connect and inspire.
