Claire has lived, worked and volunteered in Hackney for 26 years.

She is passionate about supporting communities facing food and financial insecurity and promoting sustainability, equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging.

Her background and experience include income generation, campaigning, strategic communications and public affairs. She has worked with the National and London government, UK and International NGOs and was the founding CEO of the Sheila McKechnie Foundation.
