During the COVID-19 emergency Made In Hackney is providing a free direct to door meal delivery service for households in the borough who would otherwise struggle to access food.

Local volunteers able to do grocery shopping, collect medical prescriptions and other errands for people unable to leave their homes. There are over 20 groups in Hackney representing different borough wards.

Help with delivering an urgent food parcel and collecting and delivering prescriptions for you, see the councils website.
Distributes emergency groceries to households in need. To receive a parcel you need a referral voucher from a GP, Children’s Centre or the Citizens Advice Bureau. The Citizens Advice Bureau (see number in listing below) is currently sending vouchers digitally due to the Advice Centre being closed.

For help with getting groceries and other essentials brought to your door - get in touch with The Good Gym. Friendly joggers will collect what you need as part of their exercise routine. Request a task on their website.
Free impartial advice on a range of issues including food bank vouchers, benefits, law and housing. The centre is currently closed for its usual drop in services.
