The Plant-Based Community Cookery School
"This activity was a real hit with our family marathon runners. We saw lots of proud, smiling faces eating their cute animal creations. Fun, educational and tasty."
"Our families really enjoyed this stall. It was colourful, creative and inspiring – just how we want eating healthy food to be."
"What a great stall. Building tasty tacos to inspire people to eat more healthily and try new things – genius."
Having a festival, community fun day or sporting event? Looking for a fun, healthy, educational food activity stall? We got you!
Made In Hackney can bring a fun packed, inspiring, healthy food outreach stall or interactive kitchen to your event.
We can offer a range of drop-in child and allergen-friendly food activities. Past stalls have included summer roll building, tempeh taco assembling, pitta pizza creating, super soup shots, raw ball rolling and – always a favourite with the kids (OK and the adults) - crafting beautiful edible animals, self-portraits and other creative creatures out of fresh fruits and vegetables arranged on our original chocolate hummus recipe. That’s right we said chocolate hummus.
All our fun food activations are designed to inspire people to get their 7-10 a day (yes that’s more than the much talked about 5 a–day), try new ingredients and up their intake of healthy, wholesome, plant-based foods.
Fancy some food growing instead? We can offer a drop-in workshop to show people how to sow seeds, take cuttings, grow cut & come again salad and look after pot herbs.
