The Event

When Ellie, founder of Kinda Co (@kindaco) went vegan she missed cheese a lot, so she started creating her own. Her Vegan Cheese is now world renowned!

Whether you're a vegan, a cheese lover, or simply curious about trying something new, this masterclass is perfect for you. Come and join us for a fun and informative day filled with delicious vegan cheese!

Ellie will teach you the basic principles behind making cheese using a variety of nuts and seeds. The result is delicious, beautifully textured and with a wow factor.

This Masterclass Journey:

  • Learn the skills and techniques to start your own Vegan Cheeses journey
  • Our experienced cheesemaker will guide you through the process, providing tips and tricks to ensure your own non-fermented nut cheeses are bursting with flavours
  • Learn how to make different versions of Vegan Parmesan to sprinkle in a diversity of your comfort dishes
  • Master the technique of making a crumbly and herby Feta Cheese
  • Explore the delights of non-fermented Cream Cheese in a range of different flavours
  • Learn how to make plant based Mozzarella-style balls (also known as Bocconcini)
  • Top off the experience with the stunning views across leafy Clapton Common as you cook and learn
  • Enjoy lunch with the cheeses you've just made, accompanied with salads and sourdough bread for a full on cheese feast!
  • Receive easy-to-follow recipe sheets provided to recreate the cheeses again and again at home

This class will be a mixture of practical cooking, demos and time to ask questions. We are now returning to 'family style' cooking with everyone cooking and sharing workstations. This creates more of a communal and interactive experience, working together as a team. All ingredients and equipment needed for the class are provided.

‏‏About Ellie Phoebe Brown

Ellie Phoebe Brown has been an enthusiastic cook from an early age but it was the shift to a plant-based diet that really ignited her passion for food. Keen to spread the word that vegan food doesn’t have to be all lentils and deprivation, Ellie especially loves creating delicious, plant-based versions of old favourites to show that there’s no recipe that need be off limits! She runs her own homemade vegan cheese company called Kinda Co.
