Are you looking for inspiration and ideas to create a memorable plant-powered celebration? Get ready to impress your friends and loved ones with a truly festive Vegan Christmas Feast! Learn to entertain with ease with vegan chef, author, and long standing Made in Hackney teacher Sareta Puri.

Whether you’re looking for holiday classics or unique twists to use throughout the year's Sunday roasts, this hands-on class is packed with comforting and nutritious dishes that all of your guests will adore.

A roast only becomes magic when paired with enticing sides that mix and match to create perfectly seasoned accents. With a sensational roast as the key centrepiece, you'll learn to make next level sides. “l like to make the most of a festive menu! This Masterclass includes:

  • Be welcomed with a Christmassy oat milk eggnog to comfort and delight the senses
  • Learn how to create a plant-based centrepiece for Christmas or for any time of the year with an impressive Cauliflower Wellington with lentil and chestnut duxelle
  • Up your potato game with Umami roast potatoes
  • Make a plant-based smokey carrot wrapped ‘Figs in Blankets’ as a nod to tradition
  • Create a perfectly spiced cumin-roasted brussels sprouts to uplift your greens
  • Learn to make glazed parsnips with the best of the season
  • Simmer up a moorish mushroom gravy to top off the experience
  • Discover how to balance your plates with colour, texture and flavour through seasonal produce

About the chef: Sareta Puri

Sareta Puri is a Scottish-Indian vegan chef who grew up in her dad’s restaurant kitchens. Her focus is on celebrating vegetables and making plant-based meals that attract everyone. Sareta has been working in food professionally since 2015, starting through hosting supper clubs then street food, catering, teaching and recipe development, as well as food writing. She is the co-editor of the Plant Based Planet cookbook. @saretapuri

We require a minimum of 7 days' notice for any cancellations or transfers once you have booked onto a class.You are also welcome to give your ticket to a friend or family member in case of last minute illness (just email classes@madeinhackney.org to let us know).

Made In Hackney uses cereals containing gluten namely: wheat (spelt and khorasan wheat), rye, barley, oats; peanuts; all other nuts; sesame; all other seeds; soybeans; celery and celeriac; mustard; sulphur dioxide/sulphites; lupin; tomatoes and other allergens in it's classes. Our food is freshly prepared in our busy cookery school kitchen that handles allergens, so we cannot guarantee that our food and drinks are allergen-free. Even in classes where these ingredients are not being used, they will be on site in our store rooms and our equipment will have previously come into contact with them. Participants attend at their own risk.
