The Event

Food explorer and writer, David Bez, author of ‘Veg Love’ and creator of the @saladpride blog, will guide you through this masterclass where he will equip you with the tools and techniques to create the perfect Vegan Comfort Bowl!

Learn how to transform veggies into tasty and surprising main courses, using David’s fool-proof formula of: a veg + a protein + a sauce + a topping = pure plant-based bliss! Using your imagination, David’s encouragement and powered by veg, you’ll learn how to make every meal an exciting occasion!

Explore new possibilities by experimentation as well as mixing and matching tastes in this winter warming class with dishes that will leave you feeling like you’ve had a warm hug.

The masterclass will show you:

  • Be welcomed with a celebratory glass of naturally sparkling kefir water from Agua De Madre, the ultimate ancient modern drink with invigorating benefits, brewed in small batches in Hackney
  • Discover how to use elements such as black rice, celeriac steak and roasted butternut squash to make your comfort bowl interesting and delicious, balancing the dish with nuts, seeds and other textures
  • Learn how to make different types of sauces: bulgogi, vegan béchamel, walnut cream and curry sauce
  • Learn simple styling tricks to plate your food beautifully and capture a great shot
  • Recipe pack and class notes will be provided to recreate the dishes again and again at home
  • Enjoy your time learning, cooking and meeting others interested in a plant-based lifestyle at Liberty Hall, with views of leafy Clapton Common to accompany your experience
