This fancy latte is a hug and health boost in a cup. Reishi is a trendy health food ingredient that's actually worth investing in as it has a wealth of research and centuries of use in Asia - it being used in cancer prevention and treatment (as part of wider treatment programme), to boost the immune system and to combat fatigue.
2 teaspoons raw cacao or cocoa powder
½ teaspoon reishi powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence (optional)
Pinch sea salt (optional)
Pinch nutmeg
480mililitres oat milk (2 cups)
1 teaspoon sweetener (if needed - try to go without!) like date syrup
1: Pour oat milk into a pan on a low heat.
2: Add all the ingredients to the milk and whisk on a low to medium heat.
3: Heat and whisk until you’ve created a little froth or bubbles on top.
4: Don’t overheat or boil as can damage herbs.
5: Drink and enjoy!
